Vera Ogheneruemu Omoyibo is a multi-faceted businesswoman, a serial entrepreneur and the Lead Pastor/Founder of Zion Kairos International Church.

Born in Ughelli – Delta State to Mr. and Pst (Mrs). Nicholas Omoyibo, she grew up to be quite a warm, loving and reserved child. Raised in a Godly home in the warmth and care of her parents, she started her Christian journey in Flock of Christ Mission Church.

With a great singing passion – which metamorphosed into a career, at her teenage age, joining Better Family Choir and eventually became a well ranged powerful lead singer, psalmist and worshipper.

A well-traveled and learned woman, she is a visionary leader, a life coach and a woman whose Love and Warmth lights the room whenever she walks in.

Godsent Eraze

HER KING

Godsent Osesebaga Eraze is a multi-talented and dexterous creative with intellectual prowess in a vast range of skills and a penchant for science and technology.

Born in Warri, Delta State to Rev. and Evang (Mrs). Eraze, he grew up to be quite an inquisitve child, taking interests in ministry and music from the age of 4. Raised in a Godly home in the warmth and care of his parents, he started his Christian journey in Assemblies of God Church where his father was a pastor.

He started playing the keyboard at the age of 8 years without any music teacher and slowly, passion turned into a career in music with him becoming a multi-instrumentalist, producer and director.

Co-founder of Zion Kairos Church, he is a goal-getter, pace-setter and a resilient friend.

THE PROCESS

Our Love Story

First Meet

The Queen, a prolific singer and psalmist was headed for a worship meeting where she had been invited to minister in Benin City. The King on the other hand, a young but dexterous keyboardist and producer was also headed to the same program where he had been invited to perform. Unknown to each other that fate had destined them to meet, they found themselves in the same car once they got to Benin.

The King was awestruck at the site of the Queen, not only was she pulchritudinous and well spoken, she was also quite the celebrity and one he had played for severally but had never had the pleasure of an introduction.

Amidst intelligent conversations on Music and Ministry, they found each other to be both extremely skilled and quite great company and after ending up performing together, they both returned to their domicile unawares of what destiny had in store.

First Date

Seven years later, the King sat across the restaurant from the Queen. Fate had reunited them again when the Queen had found herself honoring a ministerial invitation in Ughelli and required the service of a professional keyboardist.

The King was elated to recieve a call from her. This was the first time they’d be reconnecting after the first meet several years ago and he went to that rehearsal with enthusiasm and beautiful memories.

At the sight of the Queen, the king was again reminded of the exquisite lady he had met seven years ago and her musical/vocal prowess, composure and exposure just had him so much in awe of her. Now a much more mature man, he proposed in his heart to have her as his wife and started showing off his great musical prowess amidst rehearsals and conversations in a bid to convince her that together they could birth synergy. However, the Queen was not a woman to be swayed so easily. From her stern ‘NOs’ to her dismissiveness, she was about ministry and would have the King respect those boundaries.

Being a man with a clear conviction and resilience, the King persisted in gentlemanly restraint and after 4 months, eventually got his Queen sitting across from him at a restaurant table.

The Wait

It is important to note that the Queen was in no mood to be in a relationship or get married and made that known to the King from the very first date. She had had her fair share of failed relationships – almost married the wrong guy, and just wanted to focus fully on self-growth, business and ministry.

The King however was heaven-bent on getting married having had perfect conviction via prayers that the Queen was his bride even though their age difference – her being older, stood as a firm NO for her and made the idea of a relationship or marriage between them, IMPOSSIBLE.

The back and forth continued for weeks which spanned into months and even years – a period of finding balance and breaking routines that had the King moving out of his comfort zone, improving on himself and becoming all that God had made him to be whilst consistently and subtly waiting on her because he believed what he heard from God. The wait wasn’t easy but eventually, she began to soften her heart towards him.

Through series of prayers and counselling, God’s mercy prevailed …

The Proposal

It was one of those days that felt ordinary to everyone else but to the King, carried a secret – a promise waiting to unfold.

The King and Queen drove to a Cake and Confectionary shop. For the Queen, they had come to a private dinner to celebrate the wedding anniversary of her friend – Sucre’s secret. Unknown to her, that behind the laughter and the aroma of freshly baked pastries was a question that would change their lives forever.

After some minutes of sitting and chatting with friends, the atmosphere lit up with Endless Love by Lionel Richie. The King’s cue, he stood from sitting and dropped to one knee, heart racing as he asked those words: “Will you marry me?” Surprised and elated, the Queen said YES!

Two Families Meet

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and it started off like every other Sunday – church service at Zion Kairos; but towards the hours of 2pm, the families of OMOYIBO from Kokori in Ethiope East Local Government Area and ERAZE from Emu in Esan South-East Local Government Area were sitted in a private family gathering to mark the first step traditionally in the journey of their children Vera and Godsent getting married.

It was a huge success, joy and laughter filled the air as both families came to a beautiful agreement that their children should be married and every traditional rite processed.
